Supporting Local Businesses - A public spreadsheet of Newtown Businesses that are open and wanting your custom!
Dear Newtowners,
We love our local small businesses – the cafés that make sure we’re well caffeinated so we can do the mahi or get those nom nom vegan treats that keep the ‘hanger’ at bay. Our local pubs are a great place to have a post-work bevvy on a Friday debriefing the week! Veggies from the local green-grocer just taste fresher.
We know it's hard for small businesses during this time, so moving forward it's going to be more important than ever to be a considered and ethical consumer. You can make a difference with where you choose to spend your dollars! Buying local means supporting local people, enriching the local economy and revitalising our community.
The Newtown Festival (with our help, and the support of The Newtown Residents’ Association) have put together this spreadsheet – so the public can find out what local shops, businesses, food places are open – and how to purchase items from them during the differing levels, it will be updated regularly. We wanna make it easy for you to shop in your neighbourhood and get those cravings met!
