We all need role models, connections in our community and the support of people who care. It's hard growing up! Someone once said we need six important adults in our lives growing up (not including parents).
Our Newtown Mentors project connects up young people (9-16yrs) with slightly wiser, enthusiastic, committed volunteers (18yrs +) in Newtown.
We believe that every child can benefit from having a mentor - whatever culture, background, hardships or privilege they come from. We take referrals from health clinics, schools, families or just people who are keen to get connected!
Training and group supervision is provided for Mentors throughout the programme.
